Banrock Station

Tasting Notes

Fresh like newly laundered linen, Banrock Station's Riesling delivers heady floral aromas. Limes, minerals, and a slightly sweet finish make for a balanced white -ideal for pairing with poultry. A real discovery in a value-priced line of wines, this Riesling stays true to the way the variety should taste. Drink now.

Winery Story

Banrock Station wines proudly state their motto on each label "Good Earth, Fine Wine." And, they live by it. The winery sits in between prime wetlands and protected bush (rural, undeveloped areas) in Australia's Riverland. The 600 acres of vineyards are nestled in the 3600 acres of property Banrock Station operates-with the majority of the property left in a natural state.

Located east of South Australia's Adelaide, Banrock Station is both winery and Wetlands Center. Visitors can combine glasses of their award winning wines with vistas of the nature preserve. But this is more than just a marketing angle; they believe that by preserving the surrounding lands they will insure a healthy ecosystem for the growth and maintenance of their premium wine vines. They're fostering native animals, too, by donating a part of their profits to endangered animal organizations in Australia.
