Alexandria Nicole

Tasting Notes

Aged in both French and American Oak, this Syrah was sourced from four distinct vineyard blocks within the Destiny Ridge Vineyard. The inky purple wine has an intoxicating bouquet of blackberries, violets, and leather. The plush flavors of ripe plum, black fruit, minerals, and vanilla round out the full-bodied wine. Sumptuous and elegant, with supple tannins and a smooth finish.

Winery Story

Alexandria Nicole Cellars is located high above the bluffs overlooking Washington's magnificent Columbia River. This is home to Jarrod and Ali Boyle's 243-acre vineyard, planted to 15 different varietals. The wines are produce from grapes grown from the winery's Destiny Ridge Estate Vineyard, which is situated in the most desirable area of the newly created Horse Heaven Hills appellation in Washington State.

A native of Washington, Jarrod learned the art of winemaking and viticulture at Hogue winery. While doing routine vineyard inspections, Jarrod happened upon a parcel of land that he dreamed to someday plant a vineyard on. When he shared this dream with a childhood friend Rob Mercer, they discovered that Rob's family actually owned the property-and Destiny Ridge Vineyard was born, with the first vines planted in 1998.

Jarrod named Alexandria Nicole Cellars after his wife, Ali. It was an easy decision, since he hoped to "always remind her of how thankful I am for her."
