I hope all my old Mixing Bowl buddies find this post, and that potential "new" friends will add their input, as well. Yes, this is all new, but if we share our discoveries when exploring the site, we can all benefit. My first little "tidbit" is that I had to reload a profile picture. When I was nosing around last night, it looked like a few of the profile pics may have transferred over, but others did not. You can also choose a ready-made picture from the site's library, if you do not wish to post one of your own.

    Pat-- I haven't seen the library file.  Not sure.
    Yesterday I was getting an error trying to edit or post comments, so I'll email hostlaura that this is a problem

    I forgot to ask where is the  library file and how do you use it?  also how do you edit a recipe that is already posted in your file- it just keeps coming up error. Thanks.

    Enro-- Hopefully it was just a glitch and is working correctly now, but, If I click on Recipe Box in the upper right corner under my profile, I have 2 categories--my personal recipes and all my saved recipes.   Hope that helps and you have all your saved recipes back.  I have been trying to organize all my recipes.  You can make folders to categorize them.  It is pretty cool, but kinda overwhelming since I have 3000 plus recipes saved!

    Hey, Pat good to see you back.  Toni started the What did you Cook Today journal.  Click on Journal (in the upper right had corner of the page), then click Most Popular and it should be the first one. We've missed your recipes. 

    They really have fixed a lot of things that were 'broken', now we can get them to start on the things we want, like the Buzz (so we can see what all our friends are posting or commenting on) and some sort of digest like we used to get by email daily or weekly (depending on yur settings).  Also, a Q & A place like the Knowledgebowl so all all the questions are in one spot instead of randomly around the site.  Slowly but surely...I know..Don't call my Shirley!! LOL

    Hello everyone- well with a lot of coaxing from one of my "besties", Blondie and a few others, I will give this site another chance- I still  am unsure about this new site- it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks-lol. But I do miss my friends from the old MB- and hope to make a few new ones here- so see you at my recipes- Hugs to all, you know who you are.  MMB , libragay- my photo angels.     Oops! See I entered my comment in the wrong place! Friends are hard to find. Some are not in my list. The only thing you can search for are recipes. And that is not easy either. The familiar Mixing Bowl email comes to my inbox but when i click on a recipe, or journal, I'm redirected to a site called Symfony. I thought it was a joke. But then to try and find what I was searching for in the  original email, well, time's a wasting. Takes too long. This bigger, newer site is not user friendly.

    Hey everybody, I found this journal by noodling around the new Mixing Bowl and I have to say that I miss the old one, if only because I knew what I was doing most of the time.  I miss the right side of my screen telling me what recipes and journals were put on the site by my friends and such.  I guess we'll either get used to it or quit the site.  I don't know if anybody can specifically send us recipes or we just have to search to find out what's new.  Also, I guess I'm going to look like a bowl of tomatoes.  New learning curve, EEEK.  MagzieH

    Good morning... in reference to what DessertFiend said, from what I can tell only your entered recipes and recipes you saved yourself transferred over to your recipe file. All the many, many recipes that were in my recipe box that had been "shared" by MB members are no longer there. I am sure they are here, but you would have to do a search for it and save to your own recipe file.

    Hello All!  I am slowly finding my way through the new site.  My profile pic transferred over, but I am unable to find all of the recipes that had been shared with me.  There are also a few other glitches I've noted here and there.  I'm sending these to Tofulover to see what they can do about them.  Take Care!  Cindy
