Fall is upon us

Fall officially begins on September 23, 2011, but this morning when I stepped out on the screened porch it sure reminds me of fall weather.

Yesterday while I was working in the flower beds and watering I saw several tiny branches of dried Oak leaves on the ground and I thought they would make a nice addition to a wreath.  I will start gathering them for that very purpose. 

I also noted that my little mums were opening up and flourishing.  They are out by the mailbox for now, but they will all have to be moved because they get really big, big like a #3 washtub size.  I have grown them before you see and I know how much room they require.  I've got a spot picked out for them in the backyard.  When they stop blooming I'll move them.
