Halloween Ideas

If you are trying to come up with some creative Halloween ideas, why not make something different to give out at the door this year? Plan some easy Halloween recipes for the treat basket by browsing through the section on this site devoted to the holiday and choose something that sounds fun to make. You may want to select something that can go in a treat bag easily and save the cupcakes for parties or the family.

Food coloring can add to the allure of a Halloween treat, and so can the container that you serve them in. Small orange and brown bags are cute; or you can opt to use a little bit of orange ribbon and plastic wrap to make things look festive.

Stickers can dress things up as well, and if you have kids you can have them help by decorating the bags or packaging.

Butterscotch Halloween Crispies are a good, sturdy recipe for a sweet snack that is delicious and easy to make. The best part about this recipe is that you don't have to bake at all--it can be prepared in the microwave. These are so simple to make that the kids can join in or you can whip them up at the last minute if you don't have much time. Decorate the tops with candy corn or pumpkins and you are all set for the festivities.
