Helpful Tips
Better Recipes is an ever-growing online cookbook full of recipes from our registered members and from the editors of Better Homes and Gardens®.
If you are brand new to Better Recipes, start at the Main Page. From this "home base" you can click to browse through categories, search for recipes, or upload your own recipes.
Find Recipes
Searching
On every page throughout Better Recipes, you'll find a blank Recipe Search text box. Type an ingredient or recipe name into this box, then click Go. To limit your search results to recipes you can make in 30 minutes or less, click the "30-minutes or less" box before clicking the Go button. The Search Results page shows recipes that match your search terms. Click any recipe title to view the recipe, or use the links at the bottom of each section to view more matching recipes of that type.
Browsing
If you are just looking for great ideas for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can browse through our categories just as you would browse a cookbook.
Recipe Tools
Printing a Recipe
Click the Print This Button to view a printer-ready version of the recipe. Use your browser's print function to print the recipe as shown.
Emailing a Recipe
It's easy to e-mail your favorite recipe to a friend. Just click the Email This Button and fill in the form that appears.
Uploading Your Own Recipes
Better Recipes invites members to upload their own recipes. You can even enter our contests with each recipe you upload. Member recipes that are uploaded may take up to 14 days before they appear on the site and in the searches.
To upload a recipe, click on the Share Your Recipes Link at the top of the page. Then, follow the instructions on the forms that appear.
