• Bird Bath Planting....

  would chicken or small animal wire keep the plants in and the varmints out  ?

• Do you cook as long in the crock pot as your recipes say?

  I like my old crock pot better but  you have to wash the whole thing, the body does not come off of the bottom heating element  and it is heavier....I think next time I will use the old one and see if that helps ...I agree the newer one seems to cook hotter but I only put it high to heat it up for an hour or less...If I cooked all day on high it would burn or stick to the bottom.....Sherry8

  Karlinann, I hope your spider bite is better now.   I got one on my eye once in my sleep a long time ago, and I went to the doctor to be sure it was not a brown recluse bite.  Half my face swelled up with it, and I had to get a shot.  

  I have used plain aloe vera gel near my eyes at times.  It helps with swelling and puffiness too.  That was after my broken nose to help the bruising heal.
