Apple pie: Add cinnamon to crust.


Cherry pie: Add a dash of mace or nutmeg.


Peach pie: A shake of cinnamon picks up the flavor just right.


Chocolate cake: Add 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp cloves.


Yellow cake: A 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 tsp allspice.


Spice cake: Add 2 tbs instant coffee.


Chocolate pudding: Add a dash of cinnamon or mace.


Rice pudding: Season with apple pie spice and serve with custard sauce.


Sugar cookies: Stir anise seed into the dry ingredients.


Molasses cookies: Add pumpkin spice to dry ingredients.

 

Fruit Desserts

Grapefruit: Sprinkle halves with ginger and coconut; chill before serving.


Pears: Dot pears with butter; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon; broil.


Baked apples: Core and fill center with brown sugar, stick cinnamon.


Pineapple: Top with cream cheese, add a shake of cinnamon, and broil.
