There are three common ingredients you can combine to make chicken recipes with an Asian flair. Chicken, rice and sesame seeds are basic staples in many Japanese and Chinese dishes, and many different chicken recipes are possible using simple combinations of other ingredients you probably already have in your pantry or fridge. For a savory chicken recipe, try a very simple dish which combines chicken, sesame, chopped onion and red bell pepper.
Try whole onion for every two to three people and a red bell pepper for each person. Blend all the uncooked veggies, cooked rice and chicken together and garnish with chopped garlic. You can also season to taste using some low-salt soy sauce. To add a spicy kick, try a small amount of curry powder and mix thoroughly. For a sweeter version of this meal, omit the soy sauce and curry powder, and drizzle sweet teriyaki sauce over the top. To change up this recipe, try experimenting with a variety of vegetables and sauces. You can substitute a pinch of fresh ginger for garlic, or try Chinese five-spice instead of curry powder.
