Strawberry season is here and I just can’t get enough of these perfectly ripe berries!  After stocking up on a few pints from the grocery store, I was looking for something different to make.

You can make homemade Strawberry Milk with just about any kind of milk to fit your particular tastes or dietary needs.  This time around I made it using vanilla almond milk to make a vegan version, and it turned out great!

Bridal Shower Afternoon Tea

What a special weekend!  This Saturday I helped host a “Bridal Shower Afternoon Tea” to celebrate my sister’s upcoming wedding.   The event was held at my Grandma’s house in the beautiful rolling hills of Marin County, outside San Francisco.

When I started thinking about this recipe, I had every intention of making a milkshake with chocolate brownies.  However, when I was browsing the bakery at my local grocery store, a batch of adorable mini cinnamon rolls captured my attention.  That’s when the idea for this “Cinnamon Roll Milkshake” was born!

Cue the Linda Richman voice:  “An ‘Egg Cream’ contains neither egg nor cream.  Discuss.”   

It is unknown exactly why this classic drink is called an “egg cream.”  Some say it was a way of describing its richness at a time when both eggs and cream were expensive, luxury ingredients.
