Every once in a while it’s nice to indulge in a relaxing and refreshing weekend cocktail.  The only problem?  Sometimes those mixers can be overflowing with excess sugar, weighing down your drink with extra calories.

This recipe not only features garden-fresh ingredients, but a secret ingredient with zero calories!

The key to this light sparkling cocktail is a bottle of this Organic Blueberry Sparkling Water from Cascade Ice.  I love that it is free of unnecessary and unhealthy “extras” found in other flavored waters like calories, sodium, caffeine, sweeteners, gluten and sugar.

To make this cockail, start by combining vodka, a bit of sugar (if desired), fresh blueberries and fresh mint.  Using a muddler, break up the blueberries to release their juices and muddle the mint to release the aroma and flavor.

Pour this combination into serving glasses filled with ice and top with the sparkling blueberry water.  I love to serve this cocktail in an old-fashioned mason jar glass with a decorative paper straw!
