It is no mystery that the east coast has some of the best seafood. No matter which state you choose to go to, there’s a great chance that you’re going to find something delicious. However, if you’re choice can only come down to one place, you have to go to Maryland, even if it’s only for the crab cakes.

What makes the crab cakes from Maryland better than any other? Well, it probably has to do with the fact that they have access to some of the freshest crab that money can buy. That is one thing that makes them delicious, and it also has to do with the seasoning that is added to the cake.

We like to keep it simple over here. Cilantro, dried mustard, hot pepper, salt and pepper is all you really need to make these cakes into something delicious. Then added to that is some mayo and breadcrumbs to bind all that crab together. It’s actually a really simple recipe.
