Party-Ready Pickle, Pepper, and Cheese Skewers

There’s something about hosting or attending a party and having to bring food that gives people the shivers. It really doesn’t have to be that crazy, you can whip up just a few items with simple ingredients and people will love it! Also remember that the party is not so much about the food as it is about the company and conversation. That being said, these simple  skewers make a wonderful appetizer people can pick up and snack on without slowing down the party!

This recipe is a wonderful base, and you can vary the recipe to you and your guests liking! We love to make these into delicious Cuban sandwich style skewers by adding some Swiss cheese, shredded chopped pork, and a squirt of mustard over the top. Then, just bake these skewers in the oven at 350 for about two minutes to just soften the cheese, and make sure you’ve soaked the toothpicks in water so they don’t burn! This recipe also makes a wonderful after-school snack for kids that they can enjoy.
