You say meatball, we say too heavy. That’s why we put a spin on the traditional Italian recipe and lightened it up at the same time. Don’t think you lose that from-scratch flavor, either! Plus, you can prepare this recipe in the crockpot, which makes this a perfect time-saving recipe.

If you prefer the taste of a homemade sauce, by all means use it in place of what we recommend! However, we find that the homemade meatball is really what gives it that grandma’s kitchen flavor.
