Panna cotta is a traditional Italian dessert made when you blend cream, egg whites, and honey. This recipe adds some vanilla bean to the mix, and creates a wonderful depth of flavor. The addition of a fresh berry and pomegranate sauce really ups the elegance of this recipe.

Perfect for a more formal get-together, this creamy dessert is one of our winter favorites. For a fun twist on this recipe, you can even make it into a mold of your choosing.

One of our favorite ways to serve this recipe is by warming some lady fingers and using them to dip into the panna cotta. Also, don’t feel confined by this version of the recipe. This recipe is so versatile; you can make it with a chocolate sauce and citrus, which is perfect for the winter citrus season.

It’s best to serve this recipe chilled, and it can be placed in the freezer for approximately 30 minutes prior to serving for a firmer version.  The smooth consistency and creamy taste of the classic international dessert will be a welcome addition to your winter parties!
