3-Ingredient Root Beer Float Cupcakes

For those of you who love root beer floats and adore cupcakes – the perfect dessert hybrid!   Would you believe this treat can be made with only 3 ingredients?!

It’s true.  For this recipe you really only need three ingredients!

- A box of chocolate cake mix

- A bottle of root beer

- A pint of ice cream

If you want to add a little something extra, it’s fun to top each cupcake with a root beer barrel candy garnish.

All you have to do is combine a bottle of your favorite root beer with a box of your favorite chocolate cake mix.   Spoon the batter into lined cupcake pans and bake.  It’s like magic!  Once they are cooled, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  It’s fun to serve the cupcakes with an old-fashioned paper straw to mimic the look of a root beer float.
