I would really love to win this rice cooker because when I make rice in a regular pot it almost always doesn’t get right. This would make it a lot simpler and it looks like it seems easy to work.

    Amanda R says:

I don’t just want one, I NEED one. I am, without doubt, the world’s worst rice maker. White, brown, instant..doesn’t matter-I can’t cook it. I’ve tried it stovetop, crockpot, and oven. I’ve tried making it plain or with other foods (think chicken and rice or broccoli and rice). It just isn’t happening. I get so frustrated because the rice always turns out crunchy. I follow the directions to a T and it never works for me. I always tell people I couldn’t cook a pot of rice right if Jesus himself told me to. (Don’t get offended-it’s a joke.) Seriously, I need this cooker more than anyone else entering. I know the drawing is random, but I really, really hope I win!

I’d love to win the rice cooker – I often cook rice with meals (especially the easy slow cookers), but it never comes out right! Water from my pot will overflow into my burner or water gets soaked up into the rice which causes it to burn. :( This would be a huge help!!!

    Brook says:

Rice rice, Baby. But why? My affection for the grainy goodness that is rice runs as deep as my appreciation for this blog. Running a business that supports socially responsible chefs, restaurateurs and others in the food world, while writing about food, leaves little time for homecooking. One of my greatest goals this year
(So far, sooooo good), is to spend more time in the kitch. This lass of a rice cooker will be my enabler. Thanks for considering my contribution. Rice rice, Baby, never too co-old.

Whenever we go to an Asian restaurant I always opt out for the most exotic of dishes

    Veronica Garrett says:

I want to win this rice cooker because I want to cook perfect rice. Cooking rice in a pot leads to sticky rice.

    Amber says:

Since I don’t eat rice unless my hubby cooks it (I make rush AKA mushy rice); this would help a girl out in the kitchen. Plus rice cookers cook many, many more things than rice.

In my 58 years of married life I have never learned to cook rice successfully without a rice cooker. My old one has just given up the ghost and a new model would make our future bright.

this would be great to own-not just for rice. I’m not even sure what all can be cooked in a rice cooker, but I sure would like to try it out!

We love rice and enjoy it at least 3 times a week. It would be a lovely addition to our kitchen and would help free up time in our hectic lives. There would be no worries of not having perfect rice every time I try to cook rice. Thank you. Linda

I have never had a rice cooker, but I like to make rice a part of dinners. This would make it so much easier.

Timer… Slow Cook… Keep Warm… Sleek design… The #Zojirushi #Micom Rice Cooker vs an old saucepan with scars of previous rice battles lost. This is a no brainer.

Hmm, my wife just mentioned “better rice pudding”.

    E Ponder says:

We eat a lot of rice since going (mostly) gluten free. I usually have good luck w/ brown Jasmine rice, but that requires soaking for 22-24 hours, then steaming using cheese cloth and an old veggie steamer, in a large stock pot. Clean up is a hassle. I would be awesome to have a cooker that my family could use while I’m away on business trips as they would never deal w/ the soak, steam, scrub method!
