This Valentine’s Day you can make the “World’s Easiest Cake” (seriously) for two people with only two ingredients!  If you love and adore Nutella, this recipe is for you.

Keep reading for this easy recipe!

It’s true.  These cakes are made with only 2 ingredients:  Nutella and eggs.  The real key is in the preparation.  You need to start by whipping the eggs in an electric mixer until they triple in size.  This can take a while, about 6 minutes.  Just set the mixer to high and let it roll!

Meanwhile, place a microwave safe bowl on a kitchen scale and weigh out 4.25 ounces of Nutella.  Then microwave the Nutella for about 20 seconds to soften.

Once the eggs are ready, fold them into the Nutella, 1/3 at a time.  You want to carefully fold and incorporate the whipped eggs gently.  You have just added a lot of air to the eggs and stirring too fast or rough will cause the batter to go flat.

Spoon into 2 ramekins and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Now, if you want to get really fancy, add a third ingredient!  The cakes can be topped with a dollop of whipped cream, a scoop of ice cream or even some fresh berries.
