The second installment of “Anchorman” is set to hit theaters next week.  If you loved the first movie, I am sure you are well aware of all the quotable moments.  One that always stands out is Ron Burgundy’s love of the “Scotchy Scotch Scotch.”

This phrase became so legendary that Ben and Jerry’s even released a limited edition ice cream flavor in honor of the movie!

Keep reading for the recipe…

I decided to take this hilariously delicious ice cream flavor and turn it into a mixed drink, just in time for the film release.  These shots are a simple combination of Scotchy, Scotch and Scotch.  (Otherwise known as whiskey, ice cream and butterscotch chips!)

For my “research” I took a culinary field trip to the Ben and Jerry’s shop in Times Square.  (Complete with a red carpet entrance!)

The broadway themed decor is perfect for this location in the heart of the theatre district.

The new Scotchy Scotch Scotch flavor is available by the scoop or to purchase by the pint.

Of course I had to sample a cup for myself.  Needless to say, it was delectable!  The butterscotch ice cream is swirled with ribbons of creamy butterscotch.  The only thing missing?  Actual scotch…

That’s when I decided to turn this new flavor into a spiked milkshake.   In a blender I combined the ice cream with whiskey and butterscotch chips.  Toss in a few ice cubes and you have Scotch Milkshake Shots!

This “adults only” treat is perfect to enjoy while having a few laughs after the film.  Cheers!
