Best Crisp Recipe Ever – Apple Berry Crisp

Here we are on that cusp between the end of summer and the early stages of fall.  This recipe elegantly embraces the flavors of both seasons perfectly.

Sliced apples and fresh berries combine with apple pie spice to create the fruit layer at the bottom of this crisp.  Then, there is a crumble layer filled with oats and brown sugar.

Finally, the crowning glory on this dessert is a fig-ginger-caramel drizzle that will knock your socks off.  I had never imagined the combination of these three flavors before, and let me tell you, it is pure genius!

As the weather gets cooler and you start thinking about holiday baking, this recipe most certainly needs to be on your list.
