I loved biting into the cupcake and not only savoring the creamy caramel frosting, but also feeling the subtle crunch of sea salt on my teeth. Salted caramel has become a huge trend over the past few years, I just can’t get enough! In both sweet and savory dishes, it is all about creating balance. There is just something magical about a sprinkle of sea salt and a drizzle of caramel.
By the way, you might want to make a few extra chocolate covered pretzels…they are fun to dip in the frosting!
