I don’t know about you, but I love ice cream treats just about any time of year. Who says you can’t enjoy a good milkshake in December? The prize package this week features a cookbook and Drink Mixer that is sure to excite your tastebuds.
The Waring Pro classic Drink Mixer is best known for mixing up rich and creamy soda-fountain-style milkshakes, but easily handles pancake batter and more. How neat is that? I never even thought of using this sort of appliance for other mixing needs! I love the Chili Red color and classic “soda fountain” style.

I love milkshakes, specifically malted milkshakes, any time of the year because they were our biggest treat growing up, so they still have a lot of sentimental value for me.

Milkshakes are the perfect treat with so many flavor combinations that You HAVE to enjoy them year ’round. You can have just your favorite ice cream flavor, or add a syrup (coffee ice cream with chocolate syrup), or fruit (strawberry ice cream with fresh bananas), or really go crazy. One of my favorites is vanilla ice cream with fresh blueberries and a slice of key lime pie!!!!! Woohoo….!!

Milkshakes are so tasty… not able to have them at fast food places anymore due to lactose intolerance so I’ll have to have a try to make them at home some day. (This mixer would sure come in handy.)

When I was a boy my dad would take me to the barber shop to get a haircut then we would go and get a milkshake afterwards. This brings back those memories.

Anytime a vanilla shake would be nice
One of my favorite memories as a child was the first time I ever had a peanut butter milkshake. My uncle told me how much he loved those kinds of milkshakes and I thought it sounded disgusting! But, he promised I would love it – and you know uncles are rarely wrong. We added peanut butter, cold milk, creamy vanilla ice cream and bananas. A quick whirl of the blender and gracious! I still remember the milk mustaches we had and the way he laughed at how much I loved that “disgusting” milkshake!
All my younger life my aunts spoiled me by taking me to the local soda shop and buying me a milkshake. Everytime I went I got a different flavour. To this day ( and it is over 50 years later) i still love a good milkshake. Bring them on!!!
I love ice cream so much. But when I have a bowl I always end up letting it melt to a thick shake state. Why not cut to the chase?

Back in the late 50′s , for lunch on Fridays I would go to a drug store on Broad St. in Phila. and have a black and white shake and french fries , and it would fill me up for the rest of the day. I still savor the richness of the shake and would love to taste it again.

There is nothing better than a REAL homemade milkshake! I keep trying to make them in my blender for my seven-year-old grandson and me, and they just don’t work. I have thought about investing In a milkshake maker, but money always seems to be needed replacing scooters, bikes, and socks with holes:) We would be using this every day. I used to work at Petersen’s Ice Cream Parlor in Oak Park Ill, and I loved making thick milk shakes. Though I prefer Malts and you can buy the Malt at the grocery store.
My blender wore out and this would make a wonderful replacement. I use a blender on a regular basis to make diet shakes for myself and oldfashioned milkshakes for my husband.
As a child I learned my love of milkshakes from Mrs Koelher. She ran the soda counter at her husbands pharmacy just 2 blocks from my home. Her milkshakes were drinkable. She always filled the glass then put the metal container down next to it. That way we could pour a second helping. That was the best part and would include a lump of ice cream!

I grew up in NYC in the late 1960s and we still had a few soda shoppes in the area. Hold overs from the 1950s with high counter and swivel seats. As a child my parents would take me to have a milkshake on special occasions. My dad aways had an chocolate eggcream. It was something to look forward to matter what time of the year. Now when I have a milkshake (Mostly Vanilla) with my own children, It reminds me of them and the time/love we shared.

My birthday is March 5th. My husband is having surgery on the 4th. So he has no time to shop, when he could have this past month but whatever. I so want this type of mixer cause I love the size and don’t need the giant ones restaurants use. I just want this one. My favorite color is red cause of my Hubby’s business’ “The Whimsical Farm” and barns are red. This is all I want for my 51st bay and I really deserve it cause my husband is going to whine alot after surgery, so don’t I really deserve? Ha ha. And trust me’ I’m a young 51. That’s enough to deserve one too. Turning 50 is not fun, is so depressing especially when I love being young. Please help me win this, please?

I love Hagen Daz – coconut pineapple ice cream – so I would like to recreate that taste in a milshake using my own igredients such as coconut cream, crushed mineapple, vanilla ice cream and heavy cream – as you can see I love Full Fat and Full Flavor
