Football season is in full swing and that means it’s time for tailgating! I have assembled my “Top 5 Game Day Entertaining Tips” for making your next tailgate party a success.
Keep reading to find out how to score big with your game day grub!
TOP 5 GAME DAY ENTERTAINING TIPS
1) Buy a Rotisserie Chicken
When making football viewing food, I like to make sure I have a rotisserie chicken on hand. Simply buy one already prepared in the deli section of the grocery store. Then, you can pick apart the meat and use it in a variety of game day recipes. It’s amazing how much you can get from one rotisserie chicken! The meat is tender and juicy, and it’s a great time saver!

2) Football Themes
I like to decorate my kitchen and garnish my food with football themes. You can buy a football field tablecloth, decorate with team color pom pons, or use a football shaped bowl for chips and dips. I even saw a green and white crock pot designed to look like a football field! There are also ways to jazz up basic foods with a football theme. Here I just used a frozen cheese pizza and made a football shape out of pepperoni and mozzarella sticks. Football Pizza
3) Team Colors
Of course, you have to support your home team! Use the team colors or logo thematically throughout your party. It’s easy to make layered jello (or jello shots!) in your team colors. Football Jello Shots
4) Food for the Long Haul
A typical game will last for several hours, and you want to make sure your football snacks can sit out for everyone to enjoy throughout the game. Recipes for cheese balls, sandwiches, or even sweet treats like cookies are all great options.
5) Preparation and Checklist
Finally, you want to enjoy the party not be stuck in the kitchen. Preparation in advance is key and it can help to make a checklist. Here is a great tailgating tool from Frito-Lay. Anything you would add to the list?
If you enjoyed these Game Day Tips, I would love to invite you to a twitter party tomorrow night! I am hosting along with Frito Lay, Classy Mommy and Mommies with Style.
