If you are looking for a great recipe to try using Wolfgang’s new sauces, we have that covered! Check out his “Chicken Bread with Ham, Provolone, Rosemary and Creamy Vodka Sauce.”
Chicken Breast with Ham, Provolone, Rosemary and Wolfgang Puck’s Creamy Vodka Sauce
(recipe courtesy Wolfgang Puck)
4 chicken breast halves, skinless, boneless, about 8 ounces each 4 slices prosciutto or any thinly-sliced ham
4 slices provolone cheese
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Pinch of chile flakes
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
2 tablespoons white wine
Kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, to taste 12 ounces Wolfgang Puck’s Creamy Vodka Sauce 4 tablespoons buttered bread crumbs
Basil oil, for garnish
Fried basil leaves, for garnish
Pound chicken breasts with mallet until 1/4 inch thick, then season each piece with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Place 1 slice of ham and cheese on each. Tuck in sides and roll up as for jelly roll. Skewer with bamboo skewer or tie. In medium size bowl add olive oil, pinch of chile flakes, rosemary, white wine, salt and pepper, and Wolfgang Puck’s Creamy Vodka Sauce. Whisk ingredients together and pour in to a baking dish. Place rolled chicken breast on top of sauce.
Sprinkle top of chicken with buttered bread crumbs, cover with parchment paper and aluminum foil, and place in pre-heated 400 degrees oven for 20 minutes. Remove foil and continue to cook chicken breasts until bread crumbs turn golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Remove from oven let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with a little basil oil and fried basil leaves. Serve with Parmesan Tomato Risotto.

I had to use my magnifying glass to read the labels on the photos of the sauce jars. Every one of the flavors sounds soooo delicious. I’m not a gourmet cook, so to answer the question “What would I make first?” I’m going with the Wolfgang Puck recipe right here on the website. It sounded exactly like a dish that I would order if I saw it on his menu. A new set of cookware would be wonderful, but whether I win it or not…I’m still going to make this recipe…Chicken Breast with Ham, Provolone, Rosemary and Wolfgang Puck’s Creamy Vodka Sauce…My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Finally I would make a roux with vanilla rice or soy milk and a dash of nutmeg. Too bad there is no baking pan. Oh, well. I get rave reviews for this dish using my old, worn pots. How much more dynamic this dish would be if I could really use these brand new pots.
If I were to win, I would make a big batch of my “Hodge-podge” as my husband calls it!

But he got one of those stoves with a cooktop thing and the pots and pans I have are not suitable for it. I’ve been using one of those one-burner things for three years.

My mouth is watering just thinking about the incredible eggplant parmesan I would make with Wolfgang Puck’s “Arriabata” sauce using two kinds of fresh basil from my garden, both purple and white eggplants from the organic farmer’s market, homemade buffalo mozzarella and imported Parmesan and Pecorino. First slicing the eggplant about 1/4″ inch thick I would bread it with seasoned homemade bread crumbs and saute it in extra virgin olive oil. Then I would layer it with both the homemade buffalo mozzarella and regular mozzarella, parmesan and pecorino, lots of fresh basil, the “Arriabata” sauce and tons of loving care.
I have a son that is on a Gluten free diet, and loves meat ball subs, and meatballs and anything. So I would make him some meatballs and smother in pasta sauce. It’s really hard finding good gluten free products at a decent cost.

What would I cook? Something soft, and warm and homemade.Since pasta and pizza is Wolfgang Puck’s thing, it would be lasagna to warm the heart. Lasagna requires several types of cheese, but these pots can handle that.
