Decadent and Healthy Frozen Yogurt at Home!

It’s official, this might possibly be the easiest “recipe” ever.  There is only one ingredient (unless you’re like me and can’t resist a bit of garnish) and the only tool you will need is a spoon.

Do I have your attention?  Good!  Let me show you how to make healthy and delicious single serving frozen yogurt!

Start with a container of your favorite yogurt.  I love the rich, thick, and creamy Greek yogurt, and nowadays it comes in an endless variety of decadent flavors.

I picked up a container of Voskos because it is made just a few miles from my house here in LA!  The fig flavor sounded intriguing, so I thought I would give it a try.

Carefully peel back the foil lid and give the yogurt a nice stir.  This is especially important if the yogurt you are using has fruit on the bottom.  You will want to incorporate it all into the yogurt.

Then, place the foil back over the container and pop it in the freezer.  It will take about 1 to 2 hours to set up.  Give it a little peek after an hour or so to check the consistency.  Just don’t let it sit in the freezer too long.  You want a nice frozen yogurt consistency, not a block of ice!

If you run a knife along the edge of the container it will easily pop out into your serving bowl.  Now, this is where you can get creative if you like.  The frozen yogurt will taste amazing on it’s own, or you can play around with fun toppings.  Because I chose this fig flavor, I topped it with a drizzle of honey and a few toasted walnuts.

What flavor of frozen yogurt would you like to make?  Will you add any toppings?  Tell us!  The possibilities are endless!

This looks like a quick recipe for a cooling summer treat and certainly a dessert.
I put mine in a small ice cream machine, and love the consistency, but this looks easier. The fig flavor hasn’t made it to Texas yet!

If it was any easier someone would be feeding it to me! This sounds wonderful and I will be trying it tonight!
