I love a sweet red or white
It’s pretty cheap, but one of my favorites throughout the summer is Sutter Home’s White Merlot. It’s sweet, light, and refreshing, and great for sitting on the porch sipping while enjoying the evening light during the summer!
I enjoy a merlot, but I also like a Pinot Grigio. Depending on the meal, escpecially if I’m cooking with wine, which I do several times a week. I like to try different flavors and an easy way to do that is to go to your local wine store and buy a few $10 – $12.00 bottles because they have many specials on good wines weekly.
I really like a Pinot Noir or a good Malbec.
I once had a white wine called Relax. It was cheap and very good!
I love Merlot wines, usually the ones from our local wineries since we live in wine country and also bought a house with a 1/4 acre merlot vineyard on it which we know nothing about but are desparately trying to learn, been fun taking care of our little vineyard since we moved in less then a year ago, could really use this stuff!!!

I visited Sonoma this weekend and found a new favorite! The 2010 Ravenswood Moscato is fantastic.
My favorite is from a small one man winery in Calistoga called Madrigal. In my humble opinion, some of the best wines around California. My personal favorite is his Red Zinfendel and my wife’s favorite is his Savinguon Blanc. Both are like liquid velvet.

Hard to pick a favorite! Partial to reds although I crave white more when it’s hot. I would say one of my top picks is the Newmans Own Cabernet.
I know I do not drink expensive wine and what I do like is cheap. When in season I love Naughty & Nice by Duplin winery it has just that right amount of sweet and tang and serves well with cheese and crackers for a light pick me up in the evening or at a Christmas gathering. Off season I like Black /river red another by Duplin it is also a good sweet wine and just like to relax after a day in the kitchen, with a small glass and lightly sip.
I love Riesling, but there’s a vineyard right near me that sells the best blend. It’s called Vintner’s Blend by Old York Cellars. It’s a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Malbec… Yum!

The best wine I ever tasted was a bottle my daughter brought back from Australia-VASSE FELIX 2005 Margaret River, Classic Dry White, Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc! I saved the bottle hoping I can find it again.

My favorite local wine is Vino de la Familia from Page Springs Cellars just south of Sedona Arizona. It’s an excellent Rhone-style blend with excellent body and fruit flavor. It’s good by itself and it pairs well with food. My favorite dessert wine is Vino de Mocca from Kirigin Cellars in Gilroy, CA.

My go to favorite is Yellow Tail Chardonnay, but had a nice chardonnay from Argentina yesterday that I enjoyed – Tilia chardonnay. Very good.
My all-time favorite that I have found so far is [yellow tail] Shiraz-Cabernet. I used to hate reds because they were so dry and peppery, but honestly this wine has an amazing balance. A good way to ween people into more reds.
I drink wine on special occasions such as Holidays and weddings, but I buy wine often because I enjoy cooking with it, both the red and white wines. For the red, I buy Gallo Cabernet Sauvignon and for the white, I use Barefoot Pinot Grigio. When I do drink wine, I prefer the dry over the sweet, but my daughter prefers sweet, usually a German brand.

I tried it for the first time my last night in the U.S. before I flew to London to study abroad last fall. My sister got that and a cake for me and it was a great send-off. Now we buy it and drink it with desserts we bake and it is my favorite wine.

Our family likes to drink Colombia Crest Grand Estates Merlot from Washington state. This winery always gets 90 to 91 points and is very affordable. Overall a great weekend wine. Our favorite vintage was the 2001 but they are all very good wines. Even if you don’t like the reds they have great chardonnays and even better riesling’s and gerwurtztraminer if you like a sweeter wine.
I’m a RED lover, but if truth be told I also indulge in all colors of wine on a daily basis! Cheers to you!

Hello fellow wine lovers. Let me tell you about a wine I just discovered.Rombauer Vineyards in Napa,CA has a marvelous red zinfandel that is so smooth!! I think if you try it,you’ll love it too.
My favorite wine is Road 31 Pinot Noir. I tried this wine on my birthday and can’t get enough of it!
After a long tiring day working with 1300 students here at school, I just want to go home and have a glass of Zinfindel. It is so relaxing and calms me down. Then I start all over again with my family making supper, washing clothes,makes sure all the kids and husband are taking care of.
Bernardus – Savignon Blanc
For YEARS my all-time favorite was Asti Spumante. I have only recently discovered the chocolate wines which made me think I’d died and gone to heaven. THEN, I spotted a chocolate/rasberry wine and now I am in heaven

A nice Cabernet is always appreciated, but currently my favorite is the 2010 Nederburg South African Pinotage.
I’m more partial to semi sweet wines when I drink them and a good Riesling or White Zin are my favorites. However, when I cook, it’s got to be a dry wine, because it pulls out and enhances the flavor of my dishes. So I would say that I enjoy a good wine from Dry to sweet.
Where I grew up, we seldom drank wine (unless you count the homemade wine we sometimes received from aunts and other assorted relatives). I remember my first Sherry with the grown-up ladies on Christmas Eve when I was 18. Now I enjoy wine and really want to know more about it. This gift would be a great starting point.
I love wine, I have wine Sunday’s at my home. i enjoy Moscato by Sutter Homes and Beringer and White Zinfindel, wow I enjoy any kind of wine as long as it’s not dry or real sweet, if it’s Moscato or White Zinfindel I will drink it, it doesn’t matter by whom it’s made by.

A wine that speaks to me is the best. One whose smell wafts to your nose as you bring the glass closer to your lips. As the wine first touches your lips you can almost taste it through the mere, rich scent and cool, wet feeling. it flows over your tongue, there is a tingling and that sweet zing of flavor caressing your sensations and oozing delightful feeling throughout yourself: through your mind, your body, your soul. Yes. That right there is the best kind of wine, no matter the color.

My favorite is Riunite Lambrusco
Although I was only privileged to drink it for a couple weeks in 2009 while on a trip in China, the Chinese Merlots only sold in China will someday thrill others worldwide. There is a higher level of fruity flavor but without any sweetness that is unlike any other Merlot and they were very smooth. I’m anxious to learn about, be able buy and try more Chinese wines as they become available.
My favorite is a White Zin chilled for a warm spring day!

My favorite wine is locally made, it’s called Blushing Monk Table Wine you can get it in red or white. I prefer red wines. And this one is very sweet. But amazingly the white wine is almost as good. It’s a little drier. This wine is made in St. Augustine Florida. I had no idea there was even a vineyard here but when I found it I was glad I did!

Cross country skiing in Glacier National Park my wine flask filled with White Zin, almost froze and turned into a white wine “slushy” it was a 8-10 mile ski run and the semi frozen wine was the best I have ever had…

I do not drink very much wine because of some meds. But I was just introduced to a Muscado, a “bubbly” and was impressed enough to but a few bottles.

I recently discovered Moscato…yummy! but about 10yrs ago I had Oak Glen Riverwine & haven’t found a comparison since.
I would like to mention one of my favorite wines. It is a Merlot by Concho y Toro. It is great with nice “marbled” steak like a Ribeye. It is a very smooth, fairly dry red wine without the typical “pucker” you get from a more tannic type cab sauv. I’m certain you will enjoy it.

I have a sweet tooth and love ice wines. The most memorable wine I’ve had was in Tillamook, OR, where I had an Oregon marionberry wine and a blackberry mead.
Cheating here: sparkling is Schramsberg’s Blanc de Noir; still is a Stag’s Leap Johannesberg Riesling.

My favorite was their b’ARK wine, it is a Kiwi-pear Savvignon Blanc-style wine with a luscious combination of pineapple and banana flavors and soft, rich pear aromas!!! I loved it..

There’s a winery in California called Ridge that produces amazing meritages…mostly heavily blended with Zinfandel grapes. Their Montibello 2008 is one of the best!

There was this wonderful red German wine I tried at a restaurant in Iowa City with friends. It was sweet and delicious and was the first wine I ever loved and unfortunately when i went to ask the bartender what it was they had just done a shift change.

I like Chardonnay, usually with food and pinot grigio either alone or with food. Have not been a fan of reislings, but lately have found a couple I like. But also like red wines, too. And our local Abbey Wines makes a couple of great sipping wines. One, all the local grape growers can contribute their grapes…whatever kind. Always turns out delicious! We are in Colorado, but our favorite wines are mostly Washington state wines. When we visit our son in the tri-cities area (wine country from Walla-Walla to Tri-cities to Yakima), we enjoy discovering wineries.
