Disney’s Aulani beachfront resort is on the leeward side of the island of Oahu. Away from the crowds of Waikiki, nestled between lush green mountains and beautiful ocean waters.
The resort blends Hawaiian traditions with the magical Disney storytelling to create a world-class getaway for all ages.
The property features seemingly endless aquatic fun for everyone in the family. There’s the “Waikolohe Stream” lazy river, a private snorkeling lagoon and even a conservation pool where guests can learn about stingrays with the guidance of marine biologists.
When I was little, the hotel pool always seemed to be the highlight of a family getaway. (Hey, I grew up in Chicago….pools were a big deal!) The minute I laid eyes on the endless water fun here at Aulani, I longed to be 10 years old again!
But then again, this is Hawaii. Lounging on the sand by the ocean is a requirement…
That’s precisely what makes Aulani so special. There is something for everyone and exciting options for all ages. Whether it is meeting the Disney characters over brunch, careening down a water slide, or simply relaxing to the soothing sounds of ocean waves. Aulani is the best of all worlds, while feeling a world away.

My ultimate getaway is a Hawaiian cruise.
My dream holiday is Hawaii. My husband and I were married there and I would love to take our three kids there. We would play in the ocean, build sandcastles. I would definitely eat some fresh papaya and a piece of hula pie from dukes!
My ultimate getaway would either be Hawaii or Alaska, since I’ve been to neither. My last vacation was 15 years ago, so anywhere would be fine!
I think I would take a long trip around Europe. Italy, Greece, Sweden, Scotland. I want to take photos of all the beautiful landscapes and eat any and all of the local foods.
Our family would love a tour of theme parks, especially those with great coasters

Bon Appetit, Y’all!
I want to see the ocean for the first time and take my fiance to the most romantic destination possible!
Met my husband during Navy duty in Wahiawa. Would love to take our son back and show him where we met. Take him to the Arizona Memorial. Enjoy the shaved ice and just tour the island. Although our son is eleven, and insists he is already a teen, he says he is not yet too old for a Disney vacation. Would love to oblige him at Aulani. The fresh local produce there is second to none. I miss the taste!
