I want to do better at staying in touch with my extended family.
My resolution is to get healthier in the new year and lose some weight!! I need to lose close to 100 lbs so I will be monitoring my calorie intake and trying to excerise!!
I took a healthy eating class at my community college. One of the best things to do to try to lose weight besides exercise is to eat lots of fruits and vegetables, eat whole grain breads and cereals try to eat fish and anything that walks on two feet instead of four and have 1% or skim milk. I’m trying to help my father in law lose weight this year as well. He weighs a little under 400 lbs. I also need to lose a little bit of fat this year so I will be working on this stuff as well. I have smoothies every day made with carrots, cucumber (sometimes kale) and 3 fruits of your choice. Add yogurt for creamy texture and water or fruit juice. Cut up the stuff pretty well, I’ve burned out two blenders (OOPS!)

My biggest resolution is to be more organized and lead a healthy life with natural foods and plenty of exercise.
My resolution this year is to feed my cat better. No more bag-of-whatever’s-cheapest.

i was a RN for over 20 year until i had 2 strokes. one left me i can not stand or walk for more than a couple of minutes. So i have started gaining weight. I thought about weight loss programs but too expensive. i would love to loose weight the right way. on my own. I plan to get in shape before the year is over.

Last year I lost 33lb by replacing 1 meal a day with a green smoothie, I also went through 3 blenders! I want to stay healthy and loose weight by continuing on my green smoothie diet. This prize would help me do that.

I am working on losing about 50#’s. I had a need injury while cooking for the elderly about 2 years ago. Torn Minicus, after that it was slow going and long physical therapy, still recovering. Because of my health, I need to lose weight so my New Years resolution is to lose at least 80 pounds by the end of the year. I am disabled and have started a very light exercise program to begin with then I will add more as I go on. This is very new to me and all my children are helping me to keep my New Years resolution.

I plan is to eat less processed food this year. It’s very convenient, but has way too much sodium in it. I’m going to eat oatmeal for breakfast, eat more smoothies made from fresh/frozen veggies and fruit. Plan meals for the week, prepare them ahead of time so that they’re ready when I’m ready to eat.
Not only to help myself with better health…but my diabetic sister diagnosed with gastroparesis…which she needs her food to be more digestible. So organic fruits and veggies blended and other foods would help her…This would prize would be a blessing. Thank you!
Last year on the last workout of the year, I made a “note to self”, in 2012 I will work on core strength. I do water aerobics five days a week and walk the dogs 2 miles a day, I feel strong but just can’t seem to do some of the core exercises. I am labeling 2012 Core Year!

For 2012 I’m eating healthy, this time for my health, not for my looks. I usually try to lose weight so I look better. I need to do it for me. Fruits, veggies, fish and chicken. Whole grains too!! I deliver pkgs for FedEx and having an extra 80 lbs is killing me. By the end of the day my whole body hurts like never before. I’m only 50, but I’ve had both my hips replaced. my New Years resolution is to take one day at a time and enjoy every minute of it like it is my last…We had a very very close friend pass away last year of brain cancer and he never knew he had it till the last minute and really didn’t enjoy his life. This sounds really good with the exception of the baby food. Would grated carrots work for a substitute for the baby food? If this is acceptable do you put in the same amount that would be in a jar of baby food?

The trainer was a real budget stretch, but my husband has congestive heart failure and he needed the guidance. So I think it was money well spent.

I have been in the process of losing weight over the last 2 years. I had a setback over the holidays and could not work. I was very frustrated with my situation and did not watch what I was eating as I should have. Needless to say, when I did my labs in January, it really scared me!! I am back on track now, am now exercising for 30+ minutes 6 days a week, and tracking my blood pressure 3 times a day, to see what things affect it in the wrong way.I have also incorporated a protein shake at least once a day. I eat/drink every 2-3 hours, with 3 meals and 2 snacks…all high in protein..Lots of fruits and vegies..

My daughter made me swear off chocolate for my New Years resolution, so I need something healthy but still tastes good. Maybe a smoothie would fill the sweet I crave but still be good for me.
It seems that I have been heavier longer than I can remember, its time to do something, so I’ve started eating healthier in the new year. The smoothies look great and I’ve been needing to pick up a blender.
I have been running/jogging since I was 12 years old(i’m almost 43 now) and always enjoyed it. Lately I just haven’t been getting out there like I should. This year my goal is to do one organized race a month. I ran a 5K on the 1st of January, did an indoor triathelon this past weekend (really cool), am signed up for a trail race in March and a 15K in April. I’m looking forward to each one and it keeps me motivated to hit the road!
