Today’s recipe is a great “go-to” oatmeal raisin bar! This basic, no frills recipe can be made with items you have on hand. Feel free to jazz it up and make it your own with a dash of cinnamon or maybe swap your favorite dried fruit for the raisins.
Here is what you will need:
1) Quick cooking rolled oats
2) Sugar
3) Butter
4) Eggs
5) Raisins

1 cup (2 sticks) butter
3 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly butter a 9 by 13 inch pan. Melt the butter and let cool for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, stir together the oatmeal and the melted butter. Stir in the sugar and the egg whites until blended. Add the raisins and stir to combine. Press the oatmeal mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown. Cut into squares while still warm but do not remove from the baking pan until cold.

Yummmmm!
Yes! No flour cookies!
certainly like your web site however you need to check the spelling on several of your posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth however I will definitely come again again.

Can you substitute splenda for the sugar?
Amanda,
I am not sure! I don’t have much experience cooking with Splenda, so I am unfamiliar as to how to works in recipes like this one. Anyone out there have any thoughts on Splenda/Sugar substitutions?
